Care Information and Policies

 
  • Madeline Made is fine jewellery made with care from precious metals such as solid Gold and Sterling Silver and adorned with natural diamonds, and gemstones. These materials are durable but do still require specific care to ensure their longevity.

    Most metal and stone jewellery can be cleaned at home under warm water and mild dish washing detergent, using a soft bristled brush. Please DO NOT wash any styles that incorporate pearl or turquoise.

    Avoid wearing your jewellery pieces when gardening, exercising, swimming or doing manual labour with your hands. Precious metals or stones may be scratched, chipped or bent out of shape when force is applied.

    All jewellery can be damaged or become tarnished through contact with chemicals found in many household cleaners, cosmetics, perfumes and hair care products. We recommend removing your jewellery when cleaning the house, showering or putting on makeup.

    Take care with chains to ensure they are not caught or pulled on, this can weaken the links and lead to breaking. When not wearing, lay your chain flat and ensure there are no knots or tangles as this can also lead to breakage. Remove chains before sleeping, exercising or swimming to avoid accidental damage.

    Take extra care with pearls as they are a porous material. Do not wet or expose to chemicals. Do not exercise or sleep wearing pearl jewellery. When not in use, store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight if possible.

  • Exchanges may be made on non-made-to-order pieces within 14 days, provided the item is unworn, accompanied by its original packaging, and proof of purchase is supplied.

    We do not offer exchanges on pierced earring styles, or ear cuffs. Exchanges can be made with other in stock items or a credit note of the same value (less postage if applicable).

    If it’s required that you post the returned item back to us, please ensure your item/s are securely packaged in a padded post bag as Madeline Made does not accept responsibility for items damaged or lost in transit.

  • Any issue deemed a manufacturing fault by Madeline Made will be be repaired at no cost within 3 months of the purchase date. Repairs after this date may incur a fee.

    Manufacturing faults do not include general wear and tear, broken chains, misshapen bands, bent claws, snapped settings or chipped, cracked or lost gem stones.
